Original artwork by Onofre Alarcón (1969), titled “Paleobulls” #176, 2026, acrylic painting on 60 × 60 cm, depicting nature, signed by hand, original edition, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist, supplied with a frame.
Description from the seller
"Paleobulls" #176 by O.A. is a very powerful work within his neorupestrian universe. The bull appears here as an ancestral, monumental, and almost totemic figure, linking the animal strength of the Paleolithic with a fully contemporary reading.
The composition builds depth through three figures on different planes, while the dominance of reds, oranges and blacks turns the space into a kind of primitive landscape in combustion. The signs, strokes, and graffiti surrounding the animals recall the symbolic language of cave art, where animals and signs formed meaningful clusters. Precisely in Altamira, bison, other animals and abstract signs live together within the same visual system.
What is most interesting is the contrast between the gestural violence of the material and the clarity of the bulls’ silhouette. O.A. does not attempt to reproduce a cave painting: he reinterprets it, transferring its essence to a contemporary pictorial surface.
Original and Unique Work.
Each painting is a unique creation, sent directly from my studio. I use high-quality acrylics and oils and innovative mixed techniques, including dripping, waxes, acrylic markers, ballpoint pens, rollers, brushes, and spatulas. This combination allows me to achieve distinctive lines and textures that bring my works to life.
To facilitate framing, each canvas includes an additional 5-centimeter margin on all sides. The edges are painted with a wraparound finish, allowing the artwork to be appreciated in its entirety, whether framed with a shadow box or unframed. To ensure durability and protect colors from UV rays, each painting receives a high-quality satin varnish coating.
The images are illustrative and may not represent the exact scale of the work, so it is recommended to carefully review the actual dimensions indicated.
Also, the colors displayed on screen may differ slightly from the original tones of the work; the live piece always looks better.
Secure Shipping and Certificate of Authenticity
The paintings are carefully shipped rolled, in secure packaging, to facilitate their transport. Each shipment includes a printed certificate of authenticity, signed by me, Onofre Alarcón (O.A.), certifying the exclusivity and originality of the work.
About me:
"I am a Spanish self-taught visual artist, based in Alicante, driven by an unwavering passion for creative freedom and spontaneous expression. My creative process thrives in a relaxed and stimulating environment, where chill-out music accompanies me, allowing me to channel my energy and give my best in every brushstroke. I am especially drawn to the expressionist style, where emotion and subjectivity take center stage. Proximity to the Mediterranean has deeply influenced my work, leading me to capture the beauty and force of the sea on numerous canvases. Additionally, prehistoric art is a constant source of inspiration, and its primitive and essential strokes are often reflected in my creations. I consider myself an artist in constant evolution, exploring new techniques and styles, with vast creative potential. Each work is another step in my artistic journey, driving me to reach new goals."
