Location: Athens, Greece
Explanation: Created by the renowned Greek artist-reproduction studio Ergani Athena. This is a faithful replica of a work by an anonymous Roman sculptor from antiquity.

Title: Leda and the Swan / Leda and the Swan / ΛΗΔΑ
Year of Creation / Production: Ca. 1970 - 1990 (Vintage, late 20th century).
Historical dating of the design: Replica of an original ancient marble relief from the Roman Imperial period (2nd century AD), currently on permanent display at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
Technique: Hand-cast relief sculpture in high relief plaque. Subsequently hand-finished, chiselled and given a manually applied aging patina. In the upper right is inscribed the Greek name ΛΗΔΑ (Leda).
Edition information:
Limited studio issue. Small-scale, artisanal serial production within the specialized studio in Athens; not individually numbered.

Description: Authentically verified via the original, circular bronze metal hallmark embedded on the back. The seal bears the goddess Athena’s profile with helmet and the text: "Ergani Athena • Copy Hand Made Greece".
Material / Paper Type: High-quality casting composite made from finely ground limestone powder, plaster and mineral binders. The material gives the object the texture, weight and cool touch of real natural stone.
Provenance: Private collection, Netherlands. Originally acquired in the late 20th century from the art and reproduction trade in Greece.
Documentation: Certified via the physical, embedded studio seal on the back, which serves as the official proof of authenticity and provenance of Ergani Athena.
Condition: In very good vintage condition with a beautiful, characterful aging patina. Free from structural cracks, breaks or restorations. Some minimal, superficial chipping at the edges and corners inherent to the material and age. This contributes to the authentic archaeological appearance.
