Coppia di nature morte floreali, a pair of floral still lifes from 1940–1950, oil on wood panel, Belgium, sold with a frame.

Pair of oval floral still lifes by Van Herkel (born 1900), oil on wood-fiber panel.
The two works depict rich floral compositions, characterized by a decorative rendering, with numerous details and gold accents on the painted surface. Both are signed “Van Herkel” at the bottom of the composition.
The works are accompanied by an original Certifié de Garantie from Maison d’Art Tiziano, which attributes their execution to the Flemish painter Van Herkel, born in 1900 in southern Belgium. The certificate also states that the artist drew colors and subjects from famous seventeenth-century masters. The original document is included in the lot and is shown in the photographs.

Dimensions with frame: 78.5 × 58.5 cm
Signature: signed “Van Herkel”
Frame: included, gilded oval frame
Provenance: private collection, Florence, Italy.
