Official inventory label of an Italian municipal art gallery (Civica Galleria d'Arte Moderna) designating the author as an Italian school of the 19th century (Autore: Scuola Ital. Sec. XIX). The title of the work is given as a study of a horseman officer (Titolo: Bozzetto di un ufficiale a cavallo). It contains the official catalog inventory number Cat. N.º 6631, which was also painted in red directly onto the wooden loom frame. At the bottom there is the note Leg. Tonini 1939, confirming the work's accession to the collections as a bequest (legat) from Tonini's collection in 1939. Side label Fondazione Alessandro Durini: A square, vintage sticker with a noble coat of arms and the inscription FONDAZIONE ALESSANDRO DURINI, indicating belonging to the Milanese foundation of Count Alessandro Durini, with an inside handwritten archival/collector number.)
