AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
This is a professional quality oil painting on canvas, signed by the artist Luis ANGEL, measuring 67 x 48 cm - Original, Unique - New canvas rolled - Certificate of Authenticity
This striking portrait of a female figure sits within contemporary expressionism and figurative pop art, characterized by the bold use of a vibrant and saturated color palette that defies natural skin tones.
The composition focuses on a close-up of a woman's face, whose intense blue-eyed gaze magnifies the emotional charge of the work, while her red lips create a dramatic focal point.
The most disruptive and conceptual element of the piece is a marked black crack that runs down her forehead and crosses her left brow, suggesting an internal fracture or hidden vulnerability behind the explosion of textures and abstract colors in the background.
Through this contrast between the magnetic beauty of the features and the suggestion of a wound or division, the painter manages to convey the psychic complexity of humanity, merging outward passion with the fragility of emotional conflicts that fissure identity.
