Title: "Whispering Walls"
Description:
Some places don’t tell their stories loudly. They preserve memories in their colors, their traces, and the fine layers of time. This painting invites you to look closely – because behind the calm surface there seems to be something living that reveals itself only softly.
The gentle grays and whites resemble weathered walls that have seen a lot. Between them, bold red and delicate green set vibrant accents – like moments of hope, love, or new beginnings that do not fade even after hard times. Every texture, every color layer tells of the past and of the fact that every memory has its place.
"Whispering Walls" reminds us that the most meaningful stories often don’t need to be spoken. They lie hidden in the traces of life and wait to be discovered by each viewer in their own personal way. This work offers space for one’s own memories, thoughts, and feelings – quiet, honest, and full of depth.
-
The *cracks in the painting are deliberately intentional*.
They are not a sign of damage, but part of the artistic expression. The fractures belong to the surface as scars belong to the skin: they tell of tension, movement, and the process itself. It is precisely through these cracks that the work gains depth and authenticity – nothing is smoothed, nothing hidden.
The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, created mainly with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully produced from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art, he often engages with themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, frequently blurring the lines between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition both in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting measuring 160 x 130 cm you need a canvas stretcher of size 150 x 120 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.
You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it done by a craftsman or gallery owner.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated.
High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints have been used on multiple primed gallery canvas layers.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
--- Authenticity certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, clinic, or your office and elevate your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
If a person goes into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously and hiddenly waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, also tormentingly propped up, then art is born.
