Description from the seller

This splendid pair of amphora-shaped vases is crafted in intense cobalt blue glass with a rich gilded bronze mounting. In Empire style and neoclassicism, visible in the symmetric and slender forms, typical of ancient classical amphorae.
The long, shaped handles start from the vase’s body up to the neck and end with elegant figurative details, accompanied by a central ribbon band chased with a meander.
The vases rest on a circular bronze foot, itself mounted on a cylindrical dark wood base that enhances their dynamic.
Artifacts with this chromatic and material combination (blue cobalt glass or porcelain combined with bronze) were mainly produced in France between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, drawing inspiration from the historical splendor of the Napoleonic period.
The height is about 53 cm with a weight of about 1.4 kg each, total weight about 2.8 kg...
Good condition with normal signs of age and wear.
See photos for condition and measurements.
I do not ship outside the European Community.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
