Sonia Redi's Abstract werkje is an original oil painting from 1997, hand-signed in the bottom right, in an abstract style, measuring 19 x 22 cm, sold with frame, origin Lebanon.
Description from the seller
This painting is an early, abstract oil work by the Lebanese artist Sonia Redi (also spelled Sonia Al-Radi or Sonia Radi). In the lower right corner the canvas is clearly signed and dated in the year 1997.
Sonia Redi is known for her abstract-expressionist compositions. Her artistic style is characterized by a thick, impasto-like paint environment where the texture and brushstrokes are clearly visible and tangible on the canvas. Theme: Her abstract art often serves as an inner journey and an exploration of light, time, and depth. Many of her works from this specific period (late 1990s) bear French titles such as "Résonnance des profondeurs" (1996) or "Lieu, temps, lumière" (1997). Her oil paintings from this period frequently appear at auctions for modern and contemporary art from the Middle East (such as at the Lebanese auction house Arcache Auction). Larger canvases of her work are typically valued and sold between $1,000 and $5,000 USD, depending on the dimensions and the condition of the work.
Inner mat opening: 10 x 7 cm. This is thus a small work by the artist!
