Here we have a wonderful 19th Century oil on canvas English School. This artwork depicts a beautiful scene on the river Tamar in Devon, England. Figures are in conversation outside a cottage on the left as a fishing boat passes a ruin on the other riverbank all under an overcast sky. There appears to be no signature, however there maybe marks lower left further investigation is required. A well balanced painting that would grace any wall in your home.
