Abstract Geometric Composition, an oil painting from 1960–1970, of Czech origin, sold with frame, hand signed.
Description from the seller
Original colourful abstract geometric painting from the second half of the 20th century, presented as a work of the European School.
The composition features a vivid red ground combined with blue, turquoise, green, yellow, pink, purple, beige and darker contrasting elements. Geometric forms, curved shapes and strong vertical structures overlap throughout the composition, creating a dynamic sense of rhythm and movement.
The bold colour palette and structured forms reflect the visual language of European modernist and geometric abstraction, giving the painting a distinctive mid-century character.
The work is signed on the reverse (verso). The identity of the artist has not been independently established, therefore the painting is offered as European School (XX) without attribution to a specific named artist.
The artwork is presented in a vintage frame which complements its colourful and expressive character.
Artwork dimensions: 29 × 49 cm
Framed dimensions: 35 × 55 cm
Condition: The painting and frame show age-related signs of wear consistent with their age. The frame has visible signs of use and patina. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description.
A vibrant example of 20th-century European abstract art, combining geometric structure, expressive colour and a strong decorative presence.
