Dick is self-taught. He has never undergone any formal training or workshop in this field. The artist has no website. He has only exhibited at local shows in the Netherlands, such as the Zeeland Art Route at Zeeuwart gallery and Galerie Kunsthalderberge.
The relief is carved with hammer and chisel in a slab of Belgian hardstone. The dark areas are stained with black stone wax. The light uncolored parts are finished with a nano liquid to prevent moisture or other substances from penetrating the stone. The subject represents a music style in a cubist style.
