Napolitano Chiara - L'ORA DEL TÈ'

The Little Prince

TEA TIME is painted with a mixed technique, acrylic and paper on board.
I created a base collage on the wooden support, by overlaying many small pieces of newspaper. Subsequently I drew the subject and applied onto the tablecloth, and in some points of the clothes of the two women, a decorative retro paper silhouette. Then I painted the subject with acrylics and tore the paper away in some places.
Finally I used a shiny protective clear varnish.
The painting will be shipped with its certificate of authenticity.
It includes a matte antique gold wooden frame.

Chiara Napolitano was born in 1986 in Carpi. Since childhood she has shown a natural talent for drawing, she graduated from the A. Venturi Art Institute in Modena and, subsequently, began to make herself known by offering pop art prints at art and craft markets.
Meanwhile her artistic exploration evolved to define a personal and authentic style. Women with melancholic gazes, color drips, scraps of paper that ripple, making the scene deliberately imperfect—these are all recognizable elements that have helped define over time her artistic identity and sensitivity.
The artist uses these women to express her own moods.
Each face, each gesture, tells a unique story.
