Calogero Cascio - Nepal Dashinkali

This is an interesting large vintage photograph, about 23.6 x 35.8 cm, taken by the renowned Sicilian photographer Calogero Cascio, during his famous reportage in India and Nepal in 1965 exploring the world and Indian religions and the neighboring regions. Here a beggar is captured waiting for alms in front of the Dashinkali temple, dedicated to the worship of the goddess Kali, south of Kathmandu, about 120/130 kilometers from India. It is a genuine vintage photograph, properly stamped on the back by Calogero Cascio himself, also bearing the stamp of an Italian magazine that published it in September 1965.
