VOLTA's original 2026 acrylic painting titled 'Dissolving Into Light', image 90 x 70 cm (canvas 100 x 80 cm), signed by hand, depicting a landscape in greens, blues, violets, turquoises and yellows, sold directly by the artist from Italy and in excellent condition, unframed and shipped rolled, with a digitally issued certificate of authenticity on request.
Description from the seller
The balustrade barely supports the weight of the gaze: around, everything trembles. The green of the hill dissolves into confetti of light, shards of blue and lilac that fall like a light rain on a landscape that seems on the verge of melting into the air. The dark cypress cuts the scene like an ancient column, while the bouquet of pink flowers, still arranged, resists the disorder surrounding it. It is an aristocratic garden caught in the moment it loses its composure, overwhelmed by a light too vivid to stay still. The lake water, down below, gathers every reflection and returns it multiplied, as if the whole landscape were breathing. Volta does not paint the quiet of the viewpoint, but the moment when that quiet begins to falter.

Volta’s research moves along a path of return—not nostalgic, but active. The great tradition of European painting is the starting point: the period each work evokes, from time to time. But the gesture by which this heritage is traversed is unequivocally contemporary. Color does not illustrate, it breathes. The brushstroke does not describe, it vibrates. What remains of the past is the deep structure — a certain idea of the body, of space, of light — while the surface is fully present, fully alive. Volta does not quote, it restitutes: his compositions seem to emerge from a shared cultural memory, brought to light with different eyes.
