Intimidad is a contemporary figurative work that explores the relationship between body, gesture and emotion through a close, deeply personal framing.
The figure appears gathered into itself, in a posture that conveys calm and vulnerability. The face, partially hidden, and the proximity of the body turn the scene into a private, almost suspended moment, in which facial expression yields to body language.
The work is built with a free, gestural brushstroke, with a palette dominated by whites, bluish-grays, greens and soft pink tones. The intense strokes of dark blue traverse the body and act as structural lines that define the shapes, while small accents of yellow, red and green bring luminosity and contrast.
The tight framing eliminates any unnecessary narrative element and concentrates all attention on the figure. The painting does not aim to depict a specific moment, but to convey a feeling: the stillness of being alone, the introspection and the beauty of a moment in which the body finds its own space.
Intimidad combines figuration and pictorial expressiveness in a composition of great sensitivity, where matter, color and gesture build a contemporary, serene and enveloping image.

Brief Bio: I am especially interested in creating compositions that offer the viewer a point of view with which they can identify. Whether through discomfort, serenity or contemplation, my aim is to generate a space for reflection and questioning. In painting terms, I am drawn to vibrant colors, marked saturations and fresh chromatic ranges.
I find a rich source of inspiration in observing our social and natural environment. I often like to imagine that I observe the planet from very far away; that symbolic distance allows me to rethink reality from another perspective. I also explore the realm of femininity, addressing its multiple dimensions from a personal, sensitive and introspective gaze.
