Porcelain manufacturer Villeroy & Boch from the fine Basket series.
Includes:
2 large casserole dishes (22 cm)
1 serving platter (23 cm)
These pieces are very rare from this series. The characteristic Basket motif features colorful fruits in a basket, framed by the typical dark green lattice pattern. The warm colors and the classic design make the pieces interesting for both a table setting and as decorative collector's porcelain.
The two casserole dishes bear on the underside the original base mark:
Villeroy & Boch – 1748 Germany – BASKET
and are, according to the manufacturer’s labeling:
* ovenproof / Oven-to-Table Ware
* microwave safe
* dishwasher safe
The square platter bears an older Villeroy & Boch “Basket” W-Germany base mark and is also explicitly labeled as:
* ovenproof cookware
* Oven-to-Tableware
* microwave safe
* dishwasher safe
marked.
