Description from the seller
REVUE (G.T.) Silver Pocket Watch, 800, circa 1910, Switzerland, ANTIQUE
For sale is an original, well-preserved Swiss pocket watch from the renowned Gédéon Thommen (Revue) manufacturer. This piece dates from around 1890–1915 and was manufactured for the German market.
Technical details and condition:
Movement: High-quality, in-house Revue (G.T.) movement, signed in an oval on a gilded plate. The movement is very clean, with its original fire-gilding, oxidized screws, and traditional regulator (A/R, F/S). The watch is fully functional and runs smoothly.
Dial: Porcelain (enamel), snow-white, with black Arabic numerals. Perfect condition – no cracks, scratches, or chips, which is rare in watches of this era. Beautiful, original, finely decorated gilded hands in the Louis XV style and a sub-seconds hand at 6 o'clock.
Case: Crafted from 800 silver (stamped 0.800 and featuring the German state mark: crescent moon and crown). The case back is beautifully guilloched with a clean, intact coat of arms – perfect for custom engraving. The case edges are gilded (gallon). All cases close tightly and bear the same, consistent serial number: 1913526.
Cuvette (inner case back): Marked with the inscription "METAL" and the serial number, finished with a decorative mother-of-pearl cut.
The watch presents itself perfectly and makes a great investment or a unique piece in a vintage collection.
Please note: Only the watch shown in the close-up photos is for sale (the stand is not included). This is a private sale. Returns are not accepted. The photos are an integral part of the listing and represent the current condition of the watch. Please see my other listings.
