Brochure sold to spectators of the England-France match on May 26, 1945. It was the first international match held after the end of World War II.

The France national football team earned a historic draw (2-2) against England at Wembley Stadium in London. In front of 60,000 spectators, the French forced the equalizer in the final seconds, becoming the first non-British nation to play and to score at Wembley.

It is a match loaded with symbols. The context is exceptional. The war in Europe had just ended: the German surrender was signed in early May 1945. This encounter thus carried a strong dimension of reconciliation between the two allied countries.
