Mara. J XL - Sapphire Grove

A deep, dense blue supports the whole composition, like a night air in which the foliage comes alive. Leaves emerge in gold, ivory and apricot, pressed one upon another in layers that thicken toward the center and thin toward the edges. Green stems rise thinly from below, slender lines that give rhythm and verticality to the luminous mass. The light seems held within the leaves themselves, which glow against the dark background without ever losing lightness. In the lower part, the blue grows denser and the shapes soften, almost submerged in shadow. It’s a suspended breath, a garden that keeps shining after the day has withdrawn.
