Description from the seller

This is a rare and beautiful, First Edition copy, of "Flowers From Many Lands". The title was published by The Religious Tract Society and was printed in 1855. It features eight tipped-in colour plates, with hand-applied gum arabic varnish, to add depth and texture to the illustrations. This copy remains in Good condition and it displays beautifully. It would make a great addition to any private library or collection.

- 8 Tipped-in full colour plate with hand-applied decoration & tissue-guards
- Gilt page edges (3 sides)
- Blind-stamped cloth boards with gilt decoration
- Pages & plates are mostly straight & clean - a little occasional wear
- Text-block is complete
- Binding and Hinges are secure
- Boards & Spine are generally clean - some minor wear & marking
- Neat Inscription to the Title page - dated 1855
