Description from the seller
-Esty-
The artist Hestela Charbonnier develops a pictorial research that moves between the flowering world and the figurative dimension, creating a continuous dialogue between nature and the human being. Her work ranges from botanically charged compositions with energy and materiality to portraits and figures in which a deep emotional sensitivity emerges.
In floral paintings, color is the absolute protagonist: dynamic brushstrokes, material stratifications, and luminous contrasts transform the flower into a symbol of vitality, transformation, and fragility. The forms expand on the canvas with an instinctive yet aware gesture, giving rise to intense and engaging compositions.
In figurative works, instead, the artist explores interiority through postures, gazes, and suspended atmospheres. The figures are never mere representations, but become silent narratives, charged with emotion and psychological depth.
A common element to both inquiries is the attention to matter and to color as primary expressive tools. Whether it is a flower in full bloom or a figure immersed in their thoughts, each work reflects a tension between energy and delicacy, between gesture and introspection
Please note that each canvas has extra white borders of 4/5 cm per side
