Splendida tromba in B-flat (Bb) MONETTE 937 with L bore, built in 1994 by and for DEAN WILLOUGHBY, a collaborator of Dave Monette, with serial number 1164. The trumpet is spectacular, with a gigantic sound and perfect intonation, a true gem now almost impossible to find. The 937 is the heaviest version of the 993 model by Wynton Marsalis among the modern P3s. This model corresponds to today’s P7 and, according to Dean Willoughby, is the real Monette, since the weight helps provide the characteristics that distinguish it: enormous sound, intonation, and projection. With the trumpet comes its original leather case.
