A very large antique hand-painted opaline glass lid vase on a foot, about 49 cm high, in beige/ivory opaline glass with rich enamel floral decoration including a large pink peony, in European Chinoiserie style dating to c. 1880–1920; origin France or Bohemia; weight about 1756 g; good condition with age wear and gilded edge wear.

An extraordinarily large antique, hand-painted opaline glass lid vase / urn on a pedestal, about 49 cm high.
Material: Beige/ivory-colored opaline glass (milk glass).
Decoration: Luxurious and visibly hand-painted floral decoration (enamel) with a large pink peony, surrounded by floral motifs and refined gold relief accents.
Style: European Chinoiserie (inspired by Asian porcelain art). Provenance: France or Bohemia (Czech Republic).
Dating: Circa 1880 - 1920 (Fin de Siècle / Art Nouveau period).
Features: Subtle, as is usual for opaline glassware from this period. An outstanding decorative collectible object.
Weight about: 1756 grams
Height about: 49 cm with lid. Measurements and weight may vary slightly.
In good condition with signs of use characteristic of age, such as wear to the gilded edges.
Floral decorations are without wear.
