This work presents a female figure in a moment of deep concentration and contemplation, captured with an expressive, energetic brushstroke rich in materiality. The body, leaning forward, establishes a dialogue between strength and delicacy, while the hands and posture draw attention to that moment of stillness, effort, and connection with herself. The palette combines intense blues, purples, and magentas with warm tones of skin, hair, and light, creating a strong chromatic contrast that adds depth and dynamism to the composition. The dark background surrounds the figure and enhances her presence, while the whites and blues of the fabric introduce luminosity and movement. The piece invites reflection on introspection, balance, and the relationship between body and thought. Vida AMReyes. (Granma, Cuba 1991) discovered from a very young age that drawing was not just a pastime, but a way to translate the world. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the prestigious Carlos Enrique Gómez Academy of Fine Arts. There she consolidated an exceptional technical mastery in oil painting, acrylics, and drawing from life, foundations that would later shape her conceptual signature.

Her early career unfolded amid Cuban cultural effervescence, actively participating in young-art salons and group exhibitions. Her work immediately began to stand out: in salons and exhibitions, earning numerous prizes and mentions.

AMReyes’s work is distinguished by a visceral, imposing realism that captures the eye at a glance. However, her approach does not stay at mere photographic mimeticism. On anatomies worked with rigor or faces filled with deep psychographic expressiveness, the artist overlays and integrates icons, allegories, and conceptual elements: wings that seem invisible to the bearer, suspended threads, blocks of dense color, or garbed outfits laden with symbolism. For her, the human body and everyday figures are the perfect canvas for reflecting on identity.

This fusion between technical mastery and symbolic narrative opened the way for international exposure. Over the past decade, her pieces have been acquired by private collectors and galleries in:
