V037 — Collection of 7 plates “Ristorante del Buon Ricordo” in hand-painted ceramic - Solimene, Vietri – 1973-1987
Description:
Collection comprised of 7 plates belonging to the famous tradition of the “Piatti del Buon Ricordo,” made in Italian ceramic and hand-decorated for different restaurants. Each piece graphically depicts the culinary specialty associated with the venue, with the restaurant name and location painted on the front.
The collection includes:
1. Ristorante Luciano – Bologna
Plate dedicated to Bologna, decorated with a view of the Two Towers and a city motif. Back marked “Ceramica Artistica Solimene, Vietri”.
2. Ristorante Palma – Alassio
“Zimino di cozze e vongole”, with a marine decoration featuring the seafood specialty and the coastline landscape. Back marked “C.A.S. Vietri Italy”.
3. Ristorante Palma – Alassio
“The sommelier recommends – Rossese, poison for teetotalers”, decorated with grape clusters and a bottle. Back marked “C.A.S. Vietri Italy”. One example dated 1973–1984.
4. Ristorante Da “Benedetta” – Barghe (Brescia)
“Braised veal with orange”, with a vivid depiction of the specialty. Back marked “Ceramica Vietri Mare – F.lli Solimene” and dated 1987.
