Description from the seller
Title: Fragmented Face #99
Series: The 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This work features a frontal female portrait built from geometric shapes and broad color fields. The face, divided between soft pink and bluish gray, combines one open eye with one closed, creating a contrast between the external gaze and introspection.
The hair transforms into an ornamental structure of curves, circles and interwoven volumes, crowned by a fan-shaped composition. Red, yellow and cream details bring luminosity against burgundy, brown and blue-toned hues. The black necklace and the clothing formed by vertical blocks reinforce its elegant and contemporary character.
The black lines, clean and precise, organize the entire composition and accentuate its neocubist and hard-edge language. The background is divided into four large color zones, prolonging the fragmentation of the character and providing visual balance. It is an expressive, sophisticated work with a strong decorative presence.

Art series: The 1000 Faces
The 1000 Faces is an artistic project formed by one thousand original, unique, numbered portraits. The series explores the vast diversity of human identity through a visual language based on geometry, fragmentation and color.
Each face shares the same aesthetic essence but presents a different combination of features, hairstyles, gazes, outfits and chromatic structures. In this way, no figure repeats and each work acquires its own personality within the whole.
The fragmentation of the face represents the multiple facets that make up a person: what we show, what we hide, and the different versions of ourselves that appear over time. The color planes function as small parts of an identity in constant construction.
With each new work, the series grows into a large visual archive of imaginary characters. Each portrait can be contemplated independently, but it also forms part of a broader collective work whose ultimate goal is to gather a thousand different ways of representing the human face.
