This work presents a frontal female portrait of rich geometric detail. The elongated face appears divided between light blue and cream, while one eye remains closed and the other looks directly at the viewer. This difference introduces a sense of calm and introspection, but also of attention and presence.

The hairstyle rises with a sequence of rectangular and curved shapes in black, dark blue, green, yellow, and burgundy. On both sides of the face, the rounded volumes of the hair incorporate circles, diamonds, and small chromatic details. The long earrings, formed by suspended geometric pieces, provide rhythm and reinforce the character’s personality.

The neck, divided between blue and pink, leads to a structured outfit like a high-collared jacket. Its broad planes in green, navy blue, cream, burgundy, and pink are organized around a central yellow stripe with circular buttons. The clothing recalls architectural design and turns the body into a natural continuation of the facial geometry.

Each character shares the same aesthetic essence but is distinguished by their features, gaze, hairstyle, clothing, and their own chromatic structure. No face is repeated: each work represents a different personality within a common visual universe.

The division of the faces symbolizes the different facets that shape a person: what we show, what we reserve, and the multiple versions of ourselves that appear throughout life. The color planes function as fragments of an identity that never remains fully fixed.

With each new work, The 1000 Faces grows into a large visual archive of imaginary characters. Each painting can be viewed independently, but it also forms part of a collective work whose ultimate goal is to gather a thousand different ways of representing the human face.
