This work presents a frontal male figure built from clearly defined geometric planes. The face appears divided between light violet and cream, with one eye closed and the other open, featuring a blue iris. Beneath the closed eye rises a black teardrop that becomes the main symbolic element of the composition and suggests a contained emotion.

The black hair is arranged with angular shapes and curves that break the symmetry of the face. At the top there is a small circular hat, green and blue, which adds personality to the character. The nose is reduced to a minimal line and the red lips contrast with the serenity of the expression.

The neck, split between olive green and yellow, leads to a clothing style with a formal appearance. The cream shirt, the black tie, and the jacket composed of blue, green, black, and violet planes create an elegant and contemporary image. A small red triangle in the pocket introduces a color detail that visually balances the lips.

The background is divided into four large fields of cream, blue, green, and red. This structure broadens the fragmentation of the character and creates a strong contrast between warm and cool colors. The black lines and the precision of the contours reinforce the neocubist and hard-edge language of the work.

Each character shares the same aesthetic essence, but is distinguished by their features, their gaze, their hairstyle, their clothing, and their own chromatic structure. No face is repeated: each work represents a different personality within a common visual universe.

The division of faces symbolizes the different facets that make up a person: what we show, what we reserve, and the multiple versions of ourselves that appear throughout life. In this piece, the teardrop also introduces a reference to emotions that remain hidden behind a serene appearance.

With each new work, The 1000 Faces grows into a large visual archive of imaginary characters. Each painting can be contemplated independently, but it also forms part of a collective work whose ultimate goal is to gather a thousand different ways of representing the human face.
