This second work in the series presents a female face integrated into a geometric and silent landscape. The figure emerges from a cylindrical base placed on a rectangular pedestal, as if it were a sculpture, a ceremonial presence, or the guardian of this imaginary space.

The face is divided between bluish gray and soft yellow, framed by rounded violet hair. One eye observes the viewer, while the other has been replaced by a small three-dimensional ladder. This unexpected element suggests an interior journey, an ascent toward memory, or a pathway to another part of identity.

The base combines circular bands in pink, violet, black, and light blue. Its volume contrasts with the flat treatment of the face and rests on a block that casts a pronounced shadow to the right, reinforcing the sense of depth.

In the landscape there are two large arch-shaped structures at different distances. Between them stretches a clear, winding path that advances toward the horizon. The arches can be interpreted as doors, thresholds, or points of transition, while the pink circle suspended in the sky introduces a solar and serene presence.

The palette of muted greens, violets, pinks, cream, and bluish gray creates a tranquil and enigmatic atmosphere. The precise black lines connect portrait, architecture, and landscape within a language that combines neocubism, geometric abstraction, hard-edge aesthetics, and surrealism.

Shipping

The painting will be carefully protected and rolled inside a sturdy tube, unframed, to ensure safe transport. Once received, it can be easily mounted on a new frame at any specialized shop.

Art series: The Universe of a Thousand Faces

The Universe of a Thousand Faces begins as an expansion of the series A Thousand Faces. In this project, the characters stop appearing solely as portraits and begin to exist within their own settings, formed by impossible architectures, open spaces, geometric structures, and imaginary landscapes.

The arches, paths, stairs, shadows, and platforms do not function only as decorative elements. They become extensions of the characters and represent their thoughts, memories, emotions, and inner spaces. Scale is transformed and the body can become a monument, building, or part of the landscape.

The series explores the boundary between portrait and stage, between figure and architecture. Each scene suggests a story without fully explaining it and invites the viewer to imagine who the character is, where the path leads, and what might be found beyond each threshold.

All the works maintain the geometric and chromatic language of The Thousand Faces but incorporate a more narrative, spatial, and surreal dimension. Each painting represents a different place, although all belong to a single visual universe in constant growth.

In Universe #2, the staircase, arches, and path turn the landscape into a representation of the interior journey: a space where looking also means moving forward, remembering, and discovering.
