Description from the seller
Title: Universe #3
Series: The Universe of 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This work presents a female face transformed into a monumental figure within a geometric and surreal setting. The character rises atop a stepped base located in the center of a large square platform, like a ceremonial sculpture in the middle of a silent landscape.
The face is divided between light blue and yellow, while the hair combines those same colors in an inverted way. One eye keeps a direct and expressive gaze; the other appears pierced by a vertical black stripe that descends across the face. This element may recall a shadow, a tear, or an opening into the character's interior.
The head rests on a gray neck surrounded by a circular multi-level structure. Its alternating orange and dark violet bands create a visual rhythm that recalls a small stepped architecture. The yellow platform and its volumetric base reinforce the sense of standing before an elevated and symbolic figure.
In the background, a violet building with an arched door and a staircase descending toward the landscape appears. A large dark shape visually links this access to the foreground, functioning as a path or projected shadow. The pink circle suspended in the sky intensifies the atmosphere of a world frozen in time.
The composition balances vibrant oranges and yellows with blues, violets, and dark greens. Precise black lines organize space and combine the flatness of the portrait with the depth of architecture. The result unites neocubism, geometric abstraction, hard-edge aesthetics, and surrealism.

Art series: The Universe of 1000 Faces
The Universe of 1000 Faces was born as an expansion of the series The 1000 Faces. In this project, the characters stop appearing simply as portraits and begin to exist within their own settings, formed by impossible architectures, open spaces, geometric structures, and imagined landscapes.
Arches, stairs, paths, platforms, and shadows do not merely function as decorative elements. They become extensions of the characters and represent their thoughts, memories, and inner spaces. The body can transform into a monument, building, or part of the landscape, altering the usual relationship between figure and surroundings.
The series explores the boundary between portrait and stage, between what is visible and what is imagined. Each scene suggests a story without fully explaining it and invites the viewer to wonder who the character is, what the place they inhabit represents, and where their doors and paths lead.
All pieces maintain the geometric and chromatic language of The 1000 Faces, but incorporate a more narrative, spatial, and surreal dimension. Each painting represents a different place, though all belong to the same visual universe in constant growth.
In Universe #3, the elevated figure, the door, and the staircase build a scene about moving between different states. The character remains still, while the architecture offers a possible exit, a descent, or the beginning of a new journey.
