Description from the seller
Carnival
Carnival is a contemporary figurative work, vibrant and full of energy, that represents a moment of celebration, movement, and connection between two figures. The composition is built from intertwined bodies and spontaneous gestures, conveying a sense of dance and dynamism.
The strength of the piece lies especially in its intense chromatic language. Blues, yellows, reds, greens, and pinks come together in broad expressive brushstrokes, creating a festive and luminous atmosphere. The forms are deliberately simplified and partially fragmented, making color as protagonists as the figures themselves.
The face of the upper figure, marked by blue and color strokes, lends an almost theatrical character to the scene, while the arms and bodies cross to form a visual rhythm that recalls the movement of a dance. The dark outlines accentuate some shapes and add depth to the composition.
The work conveys freedom, sensuality, and joy, evoking the atmosphere of a carnival: a moment in which identities transform, the body is released, and expression emerges through movement. The gestural brushwork and the combination of vivid colors reinforce that spontaneous and festive character.
A contemporary painting with a strong visual impact, where the body, color, and movement become the protagonists of a celebration of life.

Brief Bio: I am especially interested in creating compositions that offer the viewer a vantage point from which they can identify. Whether through discomfort, serenity, or contemplation, my aim is to generate a space for reflection and questioning. In terms of painting, I am drawn to vibrant colors, strong saturations, and fresh color ranges. I find a great source of inspiration in observing our social and natural environment. I often like to imagine observing the planet from very far away; that symbolic distance allows me to rethink reality from another perspective. I also explore the universe of the feminine, addressing its multiple dimensions from a personal, sensitive, and introspective gaze.
