Still Life Concrete
In Still Life Concrete, nature ceases to be a faithful representation and becomes a territory of fragmented memories. Plant silhouettes, transparencies, and everyday objects dialogue through spontaneous gestures and purified forms, creating a composition where memory transforms the familiar into an emotional landscape. About R. Robin
Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theater designer, and drawing professor, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and resident in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts, and his artistic practice centers on painting and contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry, and a strong symbolic charge converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Art Instructors School, and from 2006 to 2009 he worked as a costume and scenography designer for the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts of Santa Clara, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.
His work has been shown in several solo exhibitions in Cuba, highlighting shows at the Provincial Gallery of Art and in institutional spaces in Santa Clara. He has also participated in major group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, group exhibitions in France, and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to stage design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that dialogues between painting, space, and contemporary symbolic experience.
