Paco Requena - XXL-Un viaje infinito

Unique work directly from the artist's studio, made in acrylic on canvas. Fully handmade, signed on the back. Painted originally on a stretch, later dismantled for shipping. It is varnished to ensure its conservation.

Given the size of the piece, to guarantee safe transport, it is sent un-stretched, rolled and protected in a box or tube. It must be mounted at destination on a frame suitable for the artwork’s measurements (130 x 97 cm).

The artwork has a 2-centimeter black painted edge that is not part of the piece. It also has an extra fabric margin of about 4 cm on each side.

Some images are edited and may give a misleading idea of the work’s dimensions. Size verification is recommended. Realistic interior and exterior photos of the work are added at the end. Some colors may vary slightly depending on the lighting of the photograph and the device on which the work is viewed.

Paco Requena is a Spanish abstract painter who lives and paints in southern Spain. Trained as a psychologist, during his university studies he began to take an interest in art and started his artistic training by creating his first abstract works. He has held solo and group exhibitions, and his works are available in galleries in his region.

In the artist’s universe, color becomes language and geometry emotion. His abstract works celebrate the harmony between the structured and the intuitive, through compositions built with vibrant blocks, rhythmic patterns, and lines that dance between order and chaos.

Each piece is a visual mosaic, an exploration of textures and shapes that invite the viewer to discover personal narratives within what appears to be random.

The color palette, bold and contrasting, inspired by the colors of southern Spain, awakens the gaze and transforms the everyday into art.

Inspired by the spirit of collage and the geometric abstraction of the 20th century, these works are presented as emotional maps of the present: imperfect, fragmented, but full of intention. A visual experience that seeks not to represent, but to evoke.
