Mars meteorite MARTE, NWA 13276; type Mars meteorite new classification 2023, weight 0.1 g, country of origin: otro.
Description from the seller
An opportunity to have a piece of the planet Mars in your hands.
Representative photo; you will receive a piece of similar weight and size.
Normally Mars pieces are very difficult to obtain, so this piece we offer is an opportunity to expand a good meteorite collection.
Due to the enormous impact of a meteorite on the surface of Mars, planetary material was ejected into outer space; this material traveled through space until, due to the pull of gravity of our planet, or because our trajectory encountered these fragments, they eventually fell to Earth.
Except for the Apollo missions and the almost 380 kg of lunar samples they brought back to Earth, it is the only way we have to touch a piece of another planet.
The display case with stand is included.
At Expometeoritos, we handle outreach, talks, workshops, analysis, classification and meteorite exhibitions.
We are members of:
.- IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) #8187
.- GMA (Global Meteorite Association) #0078
.- Meteoritical Society
.- American Meteor Society
All our pieces are certified and, in addition, we provide the chemical composition analysis if the piece value exceeds €300, performed at our facilities by X-ray spectroscopy.
