There are icons that do not merely pass down through generations: they imprint themselves in memory. With Double Impact, SKE brings together in a single diptych two immediately recognizable presences for everyone who grew up with the world of Goldorak: the monumental power of the legendary robot and the more intimate, almost embodied dimension of its alter ego Actarus. This face‑to‑face operates as an obvious pairing. On one side, Goldorak imposes its mythical silhouette, its strength, its aura of an absolute protector. On the other, Actarus provides the gaze, the soul, the human tension behind the myth. Together, the two works dialogue and form a single piece: a visual homage to an entire popular culture that marked childhoods, fed the imagination, and left a lasting imprint on collectors.
In this diptych, SKE does not deliver a simple nostalgic wink. He reinterprets these cult references in a contemporary, nerve‑filled, and inhabited language, where the contrast of the black background, the white highlights, the red accents, and the painterly gestures give the whole a nearly raw tension. Memory becomes image of character. Reference becomes artwork. Conceived as an inseparable whole, Double Impact speaks to those who are not merely looking to display a passion, but to bring into their collection a piece that invokes memory, pop culture, and a strong visual presence. A diptych for those who know exactly what Goldorak represents.
- FRAMING TIPS
Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.
Upon receipt, remove it gently and lay flat for 48 to 72 hours so that it naturally regains its shape before framing.
ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decoration stores.
Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the works perfectly.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a wide range of skills who grew up immersed in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring most of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has seen a notable rise. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), later crowned Discovery of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE has been selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he has also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend in the last couple of years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play define a now‑inevitable style.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to begin or enrich a collection with rising value.
Renowned & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His linework carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to reframe Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or the deconstructed forms of Picasso to confront a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates the icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the aesthetic of “Hype”: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watches (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your space.
