There are heroes we used to look up to. And then there are those who built a generation. With Blueprint of a Legend, Goldorak is no longer just the cult robot that appeared in 1975: he becomes a true icon to be viewed differently, as if one could finally observe the mechanics of a collective memory.
The composition plays on a strong contrast. On one side, the technical drawing, almost architectural, reveals the giant’s structure. On the other, the material, the tears, the metal, the red and gold reassert his visual power. At the center, the two readings meet: the legend and its construction plan.
References to Goldorak’s 50th anniversary, to Japanese graphic codes, and to blueprint aesthetics dialogue with a more contemporary writing made of collage, texture, and ruptures.
SKE thus transforms an image deeply linked to childhood and 1970s television culture into a piece conceived for today’s gaze. This is not a simple nostalgic celebration. It’s a way of showing what remains, fifty years later, when a hero has moved beyond animation to enter collective memory.
A work for those who never really put Goldorak away with their childhood memories and who now prefer to hang them on the wall.
- FRAMING TIPS
Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.
Upon receipt, remove it gently and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing.
ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decoration stores.
Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the works perfectly.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a wide range of interests who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring many of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with a double reading, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s profile has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected Artist of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he has also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes a mark in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a now-essential style.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE OF HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His linework carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversiveness and the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates childhood icons. He stages Disney’s universe with characters like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the iconic Game Boy universe, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with the codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetics: sneaker universe (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes sometimes reminiscent of Jeff Koons’ glossy surface or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This piece is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
