A woodland carpeted with blue and violet flowers stretches between the trees, touched by soft spring light. The vibrant colours suggest abundance and life, while the open space beyond the trees creates a feeling of escape and tranquillity.

This is not a portrait of a particular place, but an imagined sanctuary — a place to pause, breathe and reconnect with the simple beauty of nature.

Christine Bleny is a contemporary french artist living in the UK the past 20 years, whose work explores wildlife, landscapes, flowers, portraits and the emotional connection through bold compositions and luminous colour. She has been painting over 30 years. The use of her coloured metallic leaf which she is a pioneer is now become more and more popular. Her paintings combine elements of realism and abstraction, creating atmospheric works that celebrate the natural world while conveying a strong sense of positivity and wonder. Her work is an invitation to pause, feel deeply, imagine freely, and remember that creativity, awareness and connection still have the power to shape a better future.
During the early stages of her career, Bleny exhibited at the prestigious Art Basel, an important milestone that brought international exposure to her work. Since then, her paintings have been exhibited in major European art centres including Paris, London, Basel, Strasbourg, and Milan.
Her work has found homes with private collectors around the world. Among her most notable commercial achievements was the sale of thirty paintings during a single exhibition to a major Chinese corporation, demonstrating both the appeal and collectability of her work on an international scale.
