M.C.Escher - Other World

Fascinating and iconic art print depicting one of the most famous works by the master of optical illusion and impossible perspectives, M.C. Escher.

In Other World (1947), Escher combines three different perspectives (top view, bottom view, and frontal view) within an architectural structure open to the lunar landscape. At the center of the bays lies the famous sculpture with a human head and bird body (a gift from the artist's father-in-law), replicated along the different spatial axes together with suspended horns and the cratered surface of the Moon in the background.

Authenticity notes: The print bears along the margin the official copyright and the artist's monogrammed signature with origin date (VI-'47) at the bottom left of the image, as well as the official credits of the M.C. Escher Company - Baarn on the lower edge.
