For the connoisseur and international collector: a breath-taking, 100% authentic Delvaux "Doctor Bag" (Dokterstas). This architectural masterpiece is an original vintage piece from the early 1960s (c. 1961-1962), designed during the absolute glory days of the Brussels leather house.

The exterior is crafted from the world-famous, jet-black box calf leather by Delvaux, with a stunning, deep natural satin-like sheen. The model is instantly recognizable by the iconic, wavy leather cut at the clasp and the sturdy, elegantly curved leather top handle. The bag opens via a gold-colored metal push/clip clasp on the upper frame.

The interior is a rarity in itself: fully lined with the original, exceptionally luxurious natural/beige suede lining. The inside pocket features the early, historic gold embossing with the horse-drawn carriage, the postilion, and the brand name "DELVAUX." Also, the inner pocket bears the original, refined gold-toned brand plate with the horse-drawn carriage.

The bag is in an exceptional, museum-worthy vintage state. For an object over 60 years old, the preservation is downright remarkable. The exterior shines beautifully and the corners are very nicely crisp and undamaged. The natural suede interior is exceptionally clean, spotless, and completely stain-free. The accordion-structure at the sides maintains its perfect, rigid shape.
