Pitcher - Tin - Tin hot-water bottle

An authentic and rare tin bed cradle with a screw cap, made between 1815-1832 by master tinman Johann Eberhardt Ronstadt. This rectangular model is in a fine historical condition. The sturdy screw cap has a distinctive cast ring. Not waterproof anymore. At the bottom are hallmarks:

* A letter X with a crown above: quality mark for English tin.
* Four-mark (the four consecutive shields):
Shield 1: Under a small crown the initials I E R (Johann Eberhardt Ronstadt, the Amsterdam master tinman. (1791-1832). The I was, at that time, used in stamps for the letter J. The star is a typical decorative divider.
Shield 2: The English. High tin quality.
Shield 3: The Leaping Lion. For Dutch origin.
Shield 4: The civic mark. The coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam.
