"The Last Breath of Autumn" stems from the encounter between matter, geometry, and color. The tones of copper, earths, ochre, and brown alternate with sudden light reflections and black depths. Like an autumn landscape now close to winter, the composition preserves the last glints of the season. Thin lines and essential shapes traverse the material, allowing a quiet balance between warmth and shadow to emerge.

PAOLO CONTIN has been developing his personal artistic path for over twenty-five years, a continuously evolving journey. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with presentations in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.

Paolo Contin's artistic journey is documented also by his presence in the Mondadori Art Catalog with corresponding price listings. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.

He was also among the founding members of Tostart, an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the pandemic period.

A versatile and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or movement. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.

Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the confines of painting alone.

His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: each piece arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
