About the painting:
This is a vibrant and colorful still-life painting set in an indoor room with a view of the sea. A round table covered with a dark blue and white checkered tablecloth dominates the lower half of the scene. On the table, there are three oval plates, each holding a bright turquoise fish with prominent scales. In the center sits a white ceramic pitcher decorated with blue floral patterns, which serves as a vase. The pitcher holds a bouquet of three large, vivid red roses with green leaves. The walls are painted in bright shades of orange and yellow. To the right, a small framed picture showing a simple blue leaf pattern hangs on the wall. On the left, an open green-framed window looks out onto a calm blue sea. A white sailboat is visible on the water, with a small hill or island and a soft white cloud in the sky behind it. The overall art style is naive and expressive, using bold outlines and intense, contrasting colors to create a cheerful, Mediterranean atmosphere.

About the artist:
My name is Corina Madalina Schröder. I was born in Timisoara, Romania, in 1969 and grew up in the Satu Mare region (Transylvania). I came to Germany at the age of 43. I lived and worked there in Bad Säckingen am Rhein until 2023. The direct proximity to the Swiss border, the central location in Europe and the diversity of the people there gave me many creative influences and so I painted in a very modern and lively way and was able to present my pictures in many exhibitions. (including Germany, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland).
In June 2023 I moved with my husband to beautiful, sunny Spain, to Benijofar, south of Alicante. Here, strongly influenced by the wonderful sea, the great light, the friendliness of the people and the Mediterranean atmosphere, my passion for painting received new impulses.
I love painting. Even as a child, I was fascinated by using pens and brushes. I always went forward courageously, learned a lot and my artistic talent was born into me through my mother, who was a painter and art teacher. So I started not only painting but also creating all sorts of things. Be it sewing, knitting and modeling with clay. I love individual design and today especially expressive painting.
Especially in today's fast-paced times, where people are quick to evaluate and harshly comment, I find it particularly important to be able to calmly and calmly indulge in the joy of one's own creativity. Without “right or wrong” but just completely ME...
Since the beginning, my works have been exhibited in several german and international exhibitions, art salons and galleries, such as: Brugge, Madrid, Venice, Bucarest, Basel, London, Paris etc...
