A decorative set of two matching vintage table lamps dating from 1960–1970, with marble-textured feet, brass accents, red fabric lampshades, and warm light, each lamp measuring 20 cm wide by 20 cm deep by 30 cm high, made in France and in good working condition with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
A particularly decorative and atmospheric set of two matching vintage table lamps, characterized by their striking globe-shaped lamp bases with an elegant marbled pattern. The combination of warm cream, beige and brown tones, gold/brass details, and deep red fabric lamp shades gives these lamps a distinctly classic and luxurious appearance.
The lamp bases have a characteristic round, almost globe-like form and are composed of several horizontal relief rings. Across the light surface runs a natural-looking vein structure in various warm brown tones. As a result, each base has its own unique pattern, while the two lamps are clearly designed as a matching set.
Around the middle of each lamp base is a narrow gold/brass band. Brass-colored elements are also used at the transition from the base to the fitting. These metal accents create a beautiful contrast with the light marbled surface and enhance the elegant vintage character.
The lamps are fitted with red fabric shades with a classic, lightly tapered shape. The deep red pairs particularly nicely with the warm tones of the bases and the brass-colored details.
When the lamps are switched on, their appearance changes noticeably. The light shines warmly through the red fabric of the shades, creating a cozy red-orange glow. At the same time, the upper portion of the marbled bases is softly illuminated, making the different color nuances and veining even more visible. The result is a very atmospheric overall effect, especially in the evening.
Because of their matching design, the lamps are especially suitable to be used symmetrically as a pair. They look stunning on two nightstands, on either side of a sideboard, on two side tables, or on both ends of a sofa. They can also form a strong decorative accent in a hotel-chic, classic, eclectic, Hollywood Regency, or vintage interior.
