Gaby Acevedo - Mar - Aequor (XL)

"Aequor" stems from my interest in exploring light, color, and the expanse of the marine landscape through abstraction. In this work, light aquamarine tones and a subtle sandy stripe give way to a broad surface of greenish turquoises, creating an open and luminous composition. The transitions between colors and the different layers suggest the transparency of water and the sense of space extending beyond sight. My intention is to convey that moment of contemplation when the landscape seems to stop.

Painted entirely by hand with acrylic on canvas, "Aequor" is a contemporary abstract work, unique and original, belonging to my Sea Series, a collection in which I explore the essential beauty, luminosity, and atmosphere of the Mediterranean from a personal perspective.

About the artist:

My name is Gaby Acevedo. I am a visual artist. I live and produce my works in Spain. For more than 25 years I have been developing an artistic practice focused on contemporary abstract painting, where color and light are the pillars of my visual language.

My work arises from research into the relationship between form, color, and perception. Each series responds to a different exploration, but all share the purpose of transforming the visual experience into a language open to emotion and free interpretation.
