Oil on canvas by Le Yack, Le Rendez‑vous d'Holden – 100% Handmade!, 60 × 60 cm, original, signed, produced in 2023 in France.
Description from the seller
Original oil painting on canvas. One-of-a-kind work. Canvas entirely handmade. 60 x 60 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate.
A young man in a light linen jacket and bow tie, leaning on the counter of a drugstore. Behind him, the red enamel of the soda dispenser; in front of him, a glass of lemonade that’s warming up and a Panama hat resting on a plate. Outside, the big wheel turns, two figures in swimsuits descend toward the beach. He doesn’t move. He looks elsewhere, toward what is about to be decided outside the frame.
The whole painting hinges on this offset: the party is there, one meter away, behind a pane of glass, and the character remains on the shadow side. It is the open moment dear to Le Yack — a suspended second where history can still swing to one side or the other.
Neat craftsmanship: flesh modeled in glaze, whites of the jacket laid on in full impasto, the background treated with looser brushstrokes to deepen depth.
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method guarantees optimal protection of the artwork during transport. The buyer will be able to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their presentation preferences.
