Description from the seller

PLEASE NOTE: LOTS PAID BETWEEN OCTOBER 17 AND 26 WILL BE SHIPPED STARTING OCTOBER 27. Thank you!

“Salt Skin” XL is a visual artwork by Nik Haku that captures the quiet convergence of body and water. A solitary figure rises from the sea, her form sculpted by shadow and silence. Her gaze, turned away, lingers somewhere between memory and tide, blurring the threshold between presence and withdrawal. The tonal palette—bruised coppers, cold blues, and washed-out umbers—recalls a forgotten film still, suspended in the salt of remembrance.

Artist's statement:

This piece is a meditation on intimacy and dissolution. I wanted to explore the moment when the self begins to blur—where the edge of the body softens into water, and identity drifts outward like foam. The figure here is not a subject but a surface—echoing, absorbing, vanishing. It’s not about capturing a person, but about evoking what slips away when silence deepens and the sea remembers.

Artwork details:

• Limited Edition: 3/10

Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Premium Silk Paper and is sold unframed.
Its elegant finish and subtle texture lend a sophisticated appearance, with vibrant, rich colors. The paper’s natural resistance also helps protect the print from fingerprints and scratches.
Each piece is individually numbered and signed, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is carefully rolled, packaged, and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Spain to destinations worldwide.

About the artist:

I’m Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered.
My practice blends multiple techniques —primarily fine art photography, complemented by painting— to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
