This piece builds, through large planes of blues, greens and warm tones, a landscape where the forms seem to close in and, at the same time, leave small spaces through which to advance. The work speaks of those moments when circumstances can make us feel trapped between limits that seem impossible to cross. However, among the mountains there always remains a gap where light passes, reminding us that even what appears to block our path can conceal a direction we have yet to discover.

Antonycs resides in Madrid. Trained in visual arts and art history, he has focused his career on photography and painting. His work is deeply inspired by Californian landscape painting and the American West, as well as European painting from the early 20th century. These references are reflected in his attentive gaze to light and atmosphere, elements that articulate his work.

Parallel to this, he has developed an intense activity in the logistics and organization of exhibitions in galleries and museums in Spain, Brazil and Italy. His work has been part of numerous group and solo shows, consolidating an artistic practice that joins personal creation with curatorial experience.
