Description from the seller
Série Marrakech
-Titre Koutoubia Twist
-Tirage Fine Art 50X50 Numéroté signé 1/15 au format . Tirage non encadré
-Certificat D'Authenticité
This work offers a contemporary and singular vision of the Koutoubia Mosque, emblematic monument of Marrakech.
Created by overlaying directly at the moment of capture, without recourse to digital montage, it testifies to a rare technical mastery and a demanding artistic approach.
The image goes beyond mere representation to become a complex visual construction, where architecture, light and memory intertwine.
Through its chromatic treatment dominated by deep blues and punctuated by warm lights, the work is part of a contemporary aesthetics close to certain explorations related to Bauhaus and experimental photography.
Each print is produced in a limited edition, guaranteeing its rarity and value for collectors.
Passionate about photography from a very young age, Ben DAUCHEZ began in the neighborhood studios of La Rochelle. There he acquired all the fundamentals of traditional photography, from shooting technique to retouching and the darkroom. At 22, freshly graduated, he moved to Paris to perfect his training by becoming a set assistant for the Daguerre studios, Le Petit Oiseau va sortir and Studio Zéro. He had the chance to collaborate with and assist some of the most talented photographers: Bettina RHEIMS, Patrick DEMARCHELIER, Terry RICHARDSON, Ellen VON UNWERTH, Marcus MAM... From certain decisive meetings emerged beautiful projects and long collaborations, notably with André RAU, Bettina RHEIMS (the sultry INRI exhibition and its eponymous book at Editions Albin Michel) and Peter BEARD (Pirelli calendar 2009 in Botswana).
His photos have been published, among others, by Condé Nast Editions (French and international), Première, Wallpaper, ID, Madame Figaro, Lifestyles, Dandy Magazine... His world also attracts brands with very different identity codes for which he has created Institutional and/or advertising campaigns such as Dior (beauty), L'Oréal, Peugeot, Philip Morris, and Burger King (advertising awarded at the Dubai Lynx).
Ben DAUCHEZ has also produced numerous portraits of celebrities (IGGY POP, Woody ALLEN, Grace JONES, Jean DUJARDIN, Gilles LELLOUCHE, Olivier MARCHAL, Carole BOUQUET, Charlotte GAINSBOURG, ...) of beauty, of prominent men (Olivier DASSAULT, Jacques SEGUELA...) and of travelers...
This photographic path has since allowed him to freely immortalize human beauty, aesthetics and the spiritual essence of each personality.
