Description from the seller

"Van Life" – UNIQUE - New collection

Artist: SKE

Instagram Artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart

Premium canvas - wooden frame 2 cm - Format 50x50 cm - Signed - Sold unframed
Sometimes all it takes is an old Kombi, a dog that refuses to get off the roof, and a few childhood memories to want to hit the road.
With “Van Life, Good Life,” SKE brings together three icons that immediately speak to several generations: Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock, installed around a red and white Volkswagen Combi that has become a symbol of freedom, escape, and unplanned travel. The term “Van Life,” treated like a signboard painted with large gestures, sets the tone: here, nostalgia does not look backward, it heads back on the road.
The composition plays with the contrast between the familiar softness of the Peanuts universe and a freer pictorial writing: brushstrokes, splashes, texture and contours deliberately lively. SKE thus distorts a popular scene to bring it into his own territory, at the crossroads of pop art, street art, and collective memory.
But this artwork has a key, essential feature: “Van Life, Good Life” is a unique canvas. There is no series, no second copy, no following number. A single piece, intended for a single collector.
That is precisely what changes its status. Here you do not choose an image to reproduce, but a work that can join only one collection. For the person who instantly recognizes Snoopy, Charlie Brown, the Combi, and that very simple urge to go somewhere else, the encounter may be hard to forget.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large part of his artistic work.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has seen a notable rise. He is the winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then was elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October, and he also appeared in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, strengthening his place on the contemporary art scene. Simultaneously, SKE is also making a mark in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, increasing the appeal of his creations to collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style now essential.

SKE is unequivocally an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.

Awarded & Renowned Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to distort the Mona Lisa by da Vinci, Vermeer’s Young Girl, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with characters like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge. The influence of gaming, comics, and manga is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the mythical Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist toys with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter sneakers (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
