Description from the seller

AMA • Pope (1985) – "Aurora BTC Hodler" – BITCOIN - 9/20

When conviction becomes belief.

Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Counterfeit, Aurora Authentic Fake… AMA continues its ironic exploration of contemporary myths, between alternative finance, digital culture, and absolute faith in new systems of value.

"Aurora BTC Hodler" reworks the imagery of cryptocurrency into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic, almost ritual object.

On the front, the message is clear:
BITCOIN, fixed as a symbol, recognizable above all.

On the sides, the formula speaks for itself, with no detour:
HODL / TILL DEATH.

A minimalist, immediate, universal creed.
A contemporary belief carved in wood.

The day: a chrome, cold, familiar icon.
The night: a multicolored aurora borealis lights up the space.
A brutal contrast between financial speculation and quasi-religious commitment.

Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.

- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fade transitions, simple transitions)

Who is Pope?

Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a meticulous attention to detail and careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.

Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.

Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you’ll easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (limited edition or not), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, and products of the agri-food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...).

Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.

Dear bidders, our collective puts forth every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unfounded claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
